247 I think you should shoot for the endless winter and change you name to Snowboards 365!! I hope to have a 100 day season at least once, but doubt I can make it happen. However, I will never complain about any seaon I can get at least 50 days. Make that 60, ahh sh&^%, I want 100 damn it!! If some of my bros step and get the pass from Costco I think it could happen. I lied earlier, I skied 79 and boarded 1 day. I finally took my board out of my locker in March, I just love my K2 Seth's too much. I will try to get the board out more this season since boarding on powder days is about as good as it gets. Ski or ride just have fun! :D

Haha wow, I'd be happy with 30 this year. Okay, maybe 11-12 if you don't live there but honestly I have no idea.

So now there will be 40,000 MVP plus all the people who buy the full price pass and the college pass and Costco pass which will be another 15,000 for a total of 55,000. So the Mountain has 2 high speed six pack lifts which has a capacity of 8,000 a hour plus 9 high speed quads with a capacity 21,600 3 high speed gondolas which have a capacity of 16,000 and 14 fix grip lifts at 16,800 for a total of 62,400. Mammoth Lakes has a total of 4,774 rental units. The lift lines will start in Bishop. Mammoth could be sold out before the ski season begins.

The Costco pass is now available but thing why would Mammoth want to add a middle man when they could just sell it them selves.

130? Geez, I'm jelous, I wish I lived closer to do that. Last year, between Mammoth and Idaho I did about 30. I have a pass this year, so I am hoping for at least 40-50.

I'm pretty sure the idea is market penetration and getting to people who might not normally be thinking of Mammoth when they are planning future ideas. The presence of a large Mammoth pallet on the Costco floor, or in this case on Costco.com, adorned with the company's logo and a nice winter shot, is a great way to get a high-volume billboard at a relatively low cost. If they happen to sell a few passes, too, that definately can't hurt.

Mammoth has, in the last few years, begun experimenting with additional avenues of room and ticket distribution. Over the past 24 months Mammoth has established its presence on the Online Travel Agency channels (Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity, Hotels.com, etc) and last year began looking at new ways to expand distribution for tickets and activities. Season passes are a logical continuation of the building trend at Mammoth, where it seems some individuals realized that just selling to exsisting customers, or those who can be reached with the company's marketing messages, might not be sufficient to sustain projected revenue growth...

At least that's my take on it.

Best bet would be to contact costco, or 800Mammoth, as costco.com instructs to do.

If its like last year then yes. What you are purchasing at Costco is the voucher that needs to be exchanged at the ticket window at Mammoth Mt., which will then issue the real lift ticket.

Sorry I misread your question, my answer is applicable if you purchase at the Costco store. I am not sure about online but I dont see why it would be any different, there is no ID necessary to redeem the vouchers.

I have a costco pass, but I rarely use it.
It's just fun to be out in the mountains having a good time.
