Dog Days

Postby Oregon Sunny Girl » Fri Apr 13, 2012 8:30 am

I am new to the forums and I just love the photos of everyone's dogs lately. I thought it would be fun to start a page on our dog friends. I'll start. Snow Bear sunbathing on our Mammoth Mt. cabin porch .

Inyo (1974-1986) lived his entire life in the Eastern Sierra. They called him "The King."

I love the curly hairs on the ears on "The KING". He was a lucky dog to live his life on earth in The Sierra. Such a wonderful portrait. Snow Bear lived most of her winters in Mammoth Lakes. OUr dogs are together now in the big next world. So lucky of us to have had the chance to live together with them for the time we did. Lucky us and lucky them.

About a year ago we got Betsy from the shelter. Then last week we got Reba from the shelter.

Both of these gals are Coyote bait so I'm careful when I let them outside. I want to get one more dog, but I'm going to let this last one find me.

Nice thread, OSG. Lots of wonderful dogs here. :)

Duchess Daisy Marie 2-20-94 to 7-3-06 (adopted from my dad after he died in '99 so we had her for 7 wonderful years)

Daisy at McLeod Lake in 2002 in healthier days.

Slowing down in June 2006.

Daisy's last trip up to the Lakes Basin 6/25/06.

Not a day goes by that we don't miss her. She was such a sweet, loving companion.

My constant companion. My friend Mike the cook took this one.

Petey even herds his own brother Wyatt. Wyatt loves to chase the ball and Petey loves to herd Wyatt.
