@ skibiscuit,

Conditions will be better than when you were last there, but still low tide.

June Mountain snow report.

February snowfall

March snowfall (so far)

More snow expected next week!

Thank you LLC19 and SL.

I was MM last weekend and the snow was the best its been all season. Still, the wind was blowing the snow around and that sometimes means fluff to ice to fluff to rocks on/near the top.

Hoping to get a few runs in at June before the end of the season even tho it sux.

I appreciate all your posts and humor. There's nothing like people on the scene to give us southlanders the straight dope on conditions.

Long time reader of your forum (and you all are correct, June totally sux). My family and I will be up there in a couple weeks for an annual trip. We need another big dump for proper coverage so snow dance in progress.

Big thanks, no, a HUGE thanks to longlivechair19 for posting the link to the photos from Maynard Jenkins re. the construction of June. I started going to the place that sux in 1969 and have not missed a year with at least one visit annually, usually more (now, lots more than once per!). My family are longtime HB people and knew the Jenkins family and as a small child, I followed Maynard's son Billy throughout his HB football career as well as his OCC career. Sadly, he never made it to USC as he tragically passed away in a car crash on 158 down near where the Double Eagle is now.

So again, cool pics to scroll through so thanks again longlivechair19 for posting them! Your link finally induced me to sign up for the forum.

Welcome skibiscuit. Great user name BTW. One of my all time favorite books was "Seabiscuit" yeah I cried at the end.

You really can't go by the snow fall reports that Sl posted the links for. Thanks for those though SL.

I've been out a lot this year and it just starts to get good and then it gets warm and then the rocks start to bloom. You hit it on one of the blooming weekends skibiscuit. SR129 and I got it rock hard last Sunday with a rock slalom course down Matterhorn last Sunday. It sucked but was actually kinda fun.

Hopefully we will get a couple of more inches before your visit and Schatzi will be great for you.

TY OGT (excellent name btw)

Yes, I do love lapping Gunsmoke and the other runs, but J4 does get a bit tedious. J7 is the one. Is Deer Bowl still full of saplings and crud? Nice run when it's groomed. Schatzi is my run. I'm hoping for decent coverage as I can't keep up with the gouges in my skis.

Friday ... June with some ski club pals.

How about a Pendleton Day with black pants. Wear those and free corn dogs for that day... ;)

I haven't had a good Pendleton since 1972 but I'll get one. That sounds like a great day.
