I discovered a new wine whilest wine tasting down in Chile...the Rose Malbec. Dry, Crisp, delicious! I highly recommend on a warm day...see if you can find Viu Manent (I had to order mine from Washington because I drank all the stuff I brought back from Chile).

We stayed at the Napa River Inn and really enjoyed it! It is located in Downtown Napa. We loved strolling around downtown after a long day driving to the various wineries. A restaurant downtown that we can recommend is Zuzu Tapas

This post will probably get me laughed out of the club, but that's ok, since I never made it in to begin with.
true story and all that..
I was helping my brother move and in the back of his closet was this bottle of 2 buck.
Image
I asked him if he was letting it age. He laughed and said he was saving it for me and tossed it over. I chuckled but hey, I was curious to see what a 12 year old Chuck would be like. I confess that I was 95% sure it would be bad, it wasn't even on its side during storage, though it was in a dark, cool, and long forgotten area.

I had it at home for a couple of weeks when a wine drinker I know was over, and I asked if she wanted to try a nice aged wine? 'Sure!' she said and laughed when I got out the bottle. I turned the screw in, it went in way easy, a sign of a dry cork, so now I was 98% sure it would be bad. I pulled out the cork and the last 1/4" or so was still wet, I smelled the cork and woW, this might be decent I thought. We poured out two glasses, sniffed, swirled, all that girly stuff, and were amazed at how good the wine was. And like a good wine, it got better as we drank it.

Anyhow that's my story and I'm sticken to it. Some of you may remember when two buck first came out, it was a pretty good wine, but they have sacrificed quality over the years to keep the price..
