nbc olympic coverage=SUCKS

Yesterday, one of the commentator's voice wasn't even in synch with his lips! WTF!

They can never show all the races and events, but yesterday they did boring rounds of SBX qualifying (one guy at a time) - come on! and only show 5 or 6 downhill runs during prime time. so we get to see it after the Olympics on Universal Sports? And the polar bears rated higher than DH? I did like the daytime coverage of the Xcountry event though - they made it interesting and somewhat informative - much better than SBX qualifying. Prime time coverage of the SBX races was good too - just really late for the final. Missed most of the pairs though because the couch was a little too comfortable and the show a little too late. SUX

The coverage is particularly dissapointing compared to what we got from the summer games in China. I couldn't find time to watch it all and the difference in time zones really complicated things. Vancouver is in the same time zone forgodsakes!

Who's running things @NBC anyway?

Any Vancouvegian's reading? What's it like up there? There's no way CAN is relying on NBC USA for their coverage.
It's more fluff than anything else on NBC. DH is my favorite event historically, and I feel really cheated!

Also, February is ratings-month and you know NBC is going for those big (pre-paid and subsequent) advertising dollars by forcing you to watch certain events that are only to be shown during prime-time.

Either that, or NBC execs really do like showing pretty men in tights an awful lot of the time.. [jk]
