Well now it's raining a lot harder than the radar indicates. I'd guess it's in the inch an hour range but doubt it will last long since there's nothing on the radar over the coast. But for now it's DUMPING.

Not much rain in Huntington Beach, but lots of wind. Woke me up, so here I sit.
Time to watch "Girls Gone Wild" infomercials. (or are they still on?)

Fun night last night at MH. 4-6 by 9pm. Powder skiing on the dark runs. Snow on and off to Acton. Not really sticking on the road across the desert or Hwy 14. Storm riding but not that bad. Winds probably were 10-15mph.

Nothing exciting here at 1180' just .20" of rain, 34 degrees currently. Time to get the ice scrapper and look at the stars....

I have about an inch of snow this morning. That fell about 10 p.m. and nothing since.

Mt. High has to be severely under reporting, I have 6" on my deck in town and they already had a few inches yesterday afternoon. I was of last night so I don't know what happened.

0.32" officially in San Diego which is in line with the original estimates but lower than the more optimistic forecasts from the NWS right before the storm hit.

They were right about the winds though!

Well this storm was a bust for not only the NWS but also for KM. Biggest storm in 3 years? Not hardly. Not even the biggest storm of the season. BUST BUST BUST

Starting to look like a busted season for Baldy (barring a March Miracle, which seems to happen a lot there). I was ready to go this up AM, until the NWS hype devolved into reality. 12" isn't enough on dirt, as Baldy alluded to on their Snow Report. Is NWS always this far off? I looked at the NWS spot forecast for Baldy http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.ph ... 1962890625 a few days ago and it looked great. Opensnow.com: http://opensnow.com/state/CA was a little on the hype side, but not like NWS. However, Snowforecast.com http://www.snowforecast.com/resorts/4355-mt-baldy actually under-predicted, never buying into the hype.

Snowfall wasn't atrocious considering how often the mountains get completely skunked. Or rather, that does happen. True, I think SD NWS had Snow Valley at 25 inches on Monday or even Tuesday.
