She really only hangs out in the SoCal threads nowadays :?

There is still certainly a chance for snow on Saturday, probably won't be a big storm. Check my page tomorrow afternoon when it is updated with the latest info.

^WG...concerning the sat/sun storm; does the EC retrograde the ridge further west than the GFS?

The EC operational digs the trough farther west, yes, but it is also an outlier on the latest spaghetti ensemble suite. The GFS solution would be one of the eastern situated spaghetti lines. Lots of uncertainty still that makes a huge difference on the outcome.

What are thoughts on road conditions and when the snow will really start accumulating tomorrow? I'd either be driving up tonight (I take the 15 to the 395), leaving around 10:30pm (not preferable), or leaving early tomorrow morning, with the thought being that early tomorrow morning won't have much snow but that it'll get much deeper throughout the day. Does that seem right to you?

Alternatively, am I going to encounter issues with the 15 on the pass tomorrow morning?

It will start snowing tonight and there could be a few inches by 8:30 AM. Tough call. Most of the snow will fall tomorrow PM and evening. Driving should be fine in the AM

Not much change in the qpf over the last few days. Right around 1" weq for Mammoth and possibly a little more for SoCal.

Looks like it will be a "ski Laguna" day tomorrow - but I have to work, the lifts there really suck, and the ski stuff is in Mammoth.
