If you thought today was cold:

In 1882: A cold winter storm that started on 1/12/1882 and ended on 1/14/1882
brought lots of snow to the lowlands. 15 inches of snow fell at San Bernardino. 3
feet of snow fell in Campo over four days. Two to five inches fell in outlying San
Diego, including four inches along Poway Grade, 3 inches at El Cajon and one inch
in Poway. Light snow fell in Del Mar. Snow flakes fell, but did not stick at San
Diego Lindbergh Field. Birds and livestock were killed and telegraph lines were
knocked down. source: NWS

For the first time all winter I got out the real down comforter and put it on the bed over our cotton comforter.

It is currently -0.1 outside at our place. :|

It's currently warmer in Philly and NYC than it is in San Diego. You don't see that too often in the winter!

I'll say!

The Jet is really digging perty far south right now!

Will tomorrow's lows equal the last few days' readings?

I got no numbers on temps, but I took a ride on Sat, 25mi of dirt from 1000' to ~4200' in the SA's and it was the coldest ride ever! There was frost the whole ride in those N face cold dark hollers, and every puddle was iced. We were riding fire road side by and came up on a big puddle across the whole road on a downhill, I ducked a little L and hit the narrow muddy path leavin ADawg the whole R puddle. He hit it at speed, popped up and landed in the center with a split second of "is this going to grip, slide out, or break through?" He broke through just as I cleared the mud and it sounded like a car wreck right next to me the way he broke the ice. Singletrack was perfect, with a lot of crunchy forzen conditions. The sun was warming, but all the shade needed a fleece if you hung out for long, not to mention the sweaty gloves freezing.

Things are greening up, but there isn't a lot of running water. We need more rain in SoCal. Cold = Dry.
I used to be with it, then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with, isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me. It'll happen to yoooouuu.

It's been between -13F and -15F the last few nights here in June. My kitchen faucet is working at about 75%. My bathroom sink I can only get a trickle out of right now. My shower is working okay. Hopefully it will warm up a bit the next few days and things will thaw.

Only -2 here last night, but with the propane stove out we are running fans all night and cranking the wood burner. Lack of sleep is better then froze pipes. Good luck up there in June!

Howard Sheckter's site shows a low of -5 the last two nights and he's close to the village. The top hit -9 last night.

It got down to 2 degrees last night, 3 degrees the night before. I was really hoping to see it get below 0!
