Go Pro Notes, the go pro 3 still has multipal exposure issues. Make sure you update your firmware monthly until they fix that. Go Pro 2, you need to do the firmware update as they exposure issue on that cam is 90% fixed.

If the sun were able to melt the snow during the day and it refroze at night like Spring I would think you'd have a harder surface, but its pretty cold out there this weekend so I would imagine that would preserve the snow better. I remember standing at the bottom of Snow Summit on arrival and watching to see if people were rooster tailing off Miracle Mile or not. If not I knew to take a loooong time to get out there to let the surface get chewed up.

Even with our sun and traffic, it should stay pretty nice, right? If not, what's the point.

Got up there the last good day -- Wednesday. My typical Summit session is a 50s kinda day, so I normally do Ego/East Why/Westridge before moving to the east side, aka the best side. But since my start was delayed by a 3-hour drive, I figured I'd get the wintriest snow first. Hitting the fresh cord on runs like Tommy's felt really good. The Wall was pretty nifty too, although I slid out on the top once. Just once I wish I could hit that area on a powder or soft pp day. Some of the snow just off-piste looked pretty tempting, but not as cold as it looked. An exception: The ungroomed on Off Chute was in pretty good shape for days-old snow. I stayed on the groomers when I hit west side after lunch.

Wind was chilly enough to make it feel colder than mid-40s. One of the west end thermo's said 46 as I was passing a little after 3.

Rained over 2" at Baldy. Took a couple pics today. 2 or 3 never opened. shortcut/robbins got messed up pretty good. need to make snow over there asap. fireroad and bonanza are still decent, just needs to freeze.

looks like the tipy top of baldy is doing ok, good for them :D

and for marketing sake, a nice picture above bonanza after the rain storm

Everybody would just throw them away, same way everybody throws away the crappy footbeds that come with even high-end snowboard/ski boots so they can put something decent in there.

firm and fast today at SS but very rideable. a little sketchy when i heard they found that cop killers truck on fire at the end of my street. When i came home i needed to show ID and let the cops look in my vehicle. cops with AKs were sweeping the area and swat teams were also present. a bit spooky. i hope they catch that guy soon.
