Right now it's not looking good below Pt Fermin. Maybe somewhere between 0.10 and 0.20".
On the plus side, it looks like that's what the talking heads are seeing too. A lot less range to overshoot the prediction.

Anyway, have a loop:

I used to be with it, then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with, isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me. It'll happen to yoooouuu.

I'm supposed to drive down to Newport today after work to see friends and their newborn at the hospital. I told them if it rained I wouldn't be coming. Kind of hoping it moves south a little faster....

the front came and went pretty fast with mostly virga and maybe .05 in the bucket in SB. The jet seems like its having a hard time digging south this year, so far. Hopefully the next couple features will have better dynamics this weekend.

It looks like SD & OC still rather dry..
The winner so far with 24 precip. totals is Three Peaks somewhere up by Big Sur..2.99"
This is a pretty good statewide precip. map. Enter data wait a couple seconds and zoom etc.
Should be pretty interesting with this large rain event on the way.

Moderate shower down here before 7. Loud enough to hear hitting the roof (and wake me up) but over in a few minutes. I was surprised to see rain chances at 80 and 90 percent on Tuesday evening, I guess, then fairly quickly get knocked down to the 20s and 30s.

So it looks like maybe an inch or two Sunday night, then maybe snowmaking that day/night...then nothing, fantastic.

Raining a lot harder than I expected down HeRE. Started out with a heavy drizzle and now it's a light rain. Please don't ask me to explain the difference - I know it when I see and hear it
It has to snow again eventually...right???

Afternoon brought some rain, after lots of mist and drizzle. I'm at 3/10" now with stars and a fat moon. I was figuring 0.33" total, so whatever Sunday brings is bonus, HeRe. Santiago Peak is over 2.0".

OAN, I'm headed up to the cheapski rainforest tomorrow for some riding on some decomposed granite vs coastal clay mud.
