I dunno. There were textures up there, and some blue later on. The ugly days, for me, are the uniformly gray but dry days where there's no mist, no undulation to the clouds.
It got better but early on it wasn't just grey it was a yellowish grey haze. Later it was more dark grey with texture as you said. Even got some very light sprinkles up in North Park this afternoon. Not enough to wet the asphalt but enough to use the wipers a few times.
I saw green on the radar to the south but figured it was all virga but maybe not.

I havent been minutely scrutinizing this storm, but the trajectory on satellite makes me think its on the warmer side. High snow levels.
