HPC is being very slow to update the QPF charts this morning. I wonder if they are backpedaling or what's going on.

I noticd that too, on radar.. seems that there is either some leftover moisture or some additions moisture being pulled up now ahead of the front (or both).... so Whether or not it's some WAA or not, I'd not be surprised to see some showers today.

currently, winds are picking up again out of the south up here the last hour and there is a steady parade of cumulus moving S to N.

It's a nice day. Very clear and the clouds are interesting. They look juicy, but nothing to make them pop. It's like the atmosphere can't figure out what season it is. It feels humid and kinda warm in the sun. Wind is standard Winter WNWish 5-10. The cloud deck is well above the SA's and over the top of Baldy by a couple three thousand feet by the looks of it from HerE. No virga spotted.
Speaking of juicy.

Those clouds off of Pt Conception look pretty hefty to me.

I was just up on Blue Ridge, and it's quite breezy.. sustained 15-25 mph S winds. There was also some wave cloud action and some high based cumulus. Maybe a little bit of virga off to the NE. It's still pretty warm though, but I agree with fishboy, the atmosphere looks confused and ready for change... kinda like our government.

Wouldn't they be confused if we showed up to protest at the NWS offices.

They wouldn't care as long as we brought donuts and our spotter cards.
