Newbie to forum/looking for carvers!

Postby Arno » Sun Jan 13, 2013 6:45 pm

Hey there,

Just signed up to try and connect with some hard boot carvers.

Got myself a board from a friend (F2 Bomber) and boots and am eager to do those smooth long S turns where you're laying on the slope.

I'll be up to mammoth this week end (1/18) and would really like to connect with a few of you to talk shop and get a few tips in connecting those sweet turns.

Hope to hear from a few of you soon.

Cheers!

Welcome Aro!

There are a couple of carvers on this forum. We used to carve at June Mtn until it shut down. There are about 15-20 carvers that ride at Mammoth. It varies. We usually have an event in June during the month of March. I am not sure what is going to happen this year since June is closed down.

I recommend getting active in the forum on the site for www.bomberonline dot com. There are threads there people plan for certain carving times at various resorts in CA. There is also carving boards and gear listed for sale in the forums over there.

Welcome!

CARVERS UNITE!

Postby Arno » Tue Jan 15, 2013 11:26 pm

Thanks for the reply!

Bomber online is a great resource. I'll check again for meets.
Sheesh I did not know June was closed! Bummer. That's where I first started.
I'll be up there this week end and keep my eyes out for carvers. I always find one or two I follow for a while and watch.

I'll keep posting and checking. Can't wait to lay down one of those turns soon! Gotta cross over into that G force zone.

Let me know about the meet in march. Will come up at a moments notice.

Cheers
