MVP and Season Pass Online Purchasing

Postby marcus » Fri Mar 26, 2010 10:35 am

The Web Operations team at Mammoth will be monitoring this forum thread closely as a method of supporting the online purchase process for MVP and Half Price Season Pass.

Tips for purchasers:

    1. Have existing passes in hand [not necessary but much easier if you do].
    2. Have birthdate and phone/address info for all pass recipients.
    3. Make sure you are using a modern browser (IE6+, Firefox3+, Safari3+, Google Chrome).
    4. Have Flash 9+ and Adobe Reader 8+ installed on your system.
    5. Make sure you have Javascript enabled in your browser. You can test this.

Feel free to post questions or problems here and we'll try to get answers back to you quickly. Any details you can provide (browser, browser version and OS, the title of the page where the problem occurs and especially any error messages that come up) will help us determine the source of the problem and hopefully we can remedy the situation quickly.

We're encouraging all purchasers to come here for the quickest solutions to their purchasing issues.

Alternately, you can use the forms found during the purchase process to request assistance and you can always call 800.MAMMOTH (866.626.6684) to place your order.

Please keep the comments and questions in this thread limited to the technical and user interface realm. We won't be responding to comments about products, pricing or fullfillment. And any snide comments about the gondi will be forwarded directly to Rusty so don't even go there!

General Information about the MVP program can be found here. Non-technical questions are pretty well covered in the MVP FAQ on our website. Half Price Season Pass info can be found here.

Excuse us when we periodically clear out repeat and off-topic posts from this thread. We want to make it as effective as possible.

Why would anyone make a snide remark about the "gondi"? (feel free to PM me)

What's the deal with pass cash? Will any balance I currently have be carried over? Can I put it toward my new pass(es)

Passcash from this season can be used to purchase your pass for this season. Passcash purchased now for next season can not. Any passcash balance you have will be transferred over to your new pass.

So I look at the pass insurance and I thought this was interesting note the words in bold so do they know something?
Pass Insurance
You've saved. You’ve planned.
You've looked forward to skiing for months.
But things don't always go according to plan.
What if you get sick and are unable to use your ski pass? What if the resort closes indefinitely due to a natural disaster? What if you are injured and can no longer use your ski pass? Ski Pass Insurance through Travel Guard provides coverage for you and your ski pass investment when the unexpected happens.

Are you accusing Mammoth of the Great Long Valley Hoax? Get everyone to buy an MVP or season pass and hope they don't ensure it, then the entire mountain conveniently gets blown away before operating costs? No, I'm sure they don't know anything...

re: insurance
I clicked on NO for the insurance. When I got to the final checkout I was being charged for the insurance. There was no way to delete it at that point so I had to close the whole process in order to avoid purchasing something I had already said I DID NOT want.
computer glitch or scam?????????
I will go back and try again and will have to phone it in if it continues......
Oh, Mac OS 10.4.11, Safari 4.0.5

Hi Teledork,
Thanks for the feedback the issue is with the specific browser you are using. There is a pop up and the start of the process that warns you using that version of safari (or chrome on a mac using the same webkit) may cause some issues. Please use firefox, internet explore, opera or and older version of safari or chrome.
Sorry for the troubles

I would suggest you call MMSA at 800-MAMMOTH and a Vacation Specialist will probably be able to help you.
