Yes we are developing it currently and will have it ready for the upcoming season.

So sweet. You're WAY late to the party though. Thank you in advance but I'd like to point out some obvious, but hopefully constructive things:

1) It was apparent to most of the geeks last winter that app-wise Android was the place to be.
2) Historically, the vast majority of your skiers/riders with on hill coverage are verizon customers and Verizon did not add the Iphone until this spring.
3) It's relatively easy for an average app developer to port Iphone apps to android, yet you've had an Iphone app for the better part of 2 seasons and we verizon/android users are still waiting.
4) My father-in-law and his Iphone have been winning the smartphone rivalry with me and my Android everytime we come up to the mountain. You can replace smartphone with pretty much anything (we tend to engage in oneupsmanship)...but you guys cost me some pride this year!

Ok...number 4 is probably useless to ya, but I hope the rest are taken constructively. Tks in advance for finally getting us Android users an app.

It would be, but it's not going to happen. They are working on the GPS tracking for winter stuff now. I just sent over a bunch of deliverables to them today. We are still shooting for a winter release.

Any update on this?

Would love to track my first hour of activity each day before the battery on my Droid Charge dies.

I have an extended battery on my X2 and I can run the hell out of it! And at least you can change out the battery vs. ANY Apple product.

1) Extended battery- I got the verizon one, xtra 400ma and virtually un-noticeable.
2) Minor power management adjustments (like not using animated clock ..., keeping backlight on low, etc)
3) One of these: http://www.igo.com/mobile-devices/charg ... 002730001/

Those three things will last you all weekend without a charge. I can make my extended battery alone last all day using my phone as my primary gps in the backcountry. I just put it on airplane mode with a toggle switch, toggle it on then check my gps position, then toggle it off again. I'm sure with just the extended battery you needn't worry about that for a day on the slopes because your phone won't spend the whole day searching for a signal like it would in the backcountry.

Glad to hear the X2 has improved battery performance.
