just received my locer renewal $325!!! Are you guys NUTS? not even discount for season locker holders. I checked with my friends in other resorts ski areas. and they are less money PLUS they get private locker room, hot chocolate, a place to wax the skis and boards, boot warmers and boot check.

We get crap! Nada. My first locker was $35, (yes, ive been going to mammoth a long time). I love the mountain, but with this price its about to price us out of the locker market. a lot of my friends have 2 lockers and they are giving them up also.

sorry about the rant. just $325 for a tiny ass locker is ridiculous. I'll carry them and drive up to the lodge for that. just add to the more traffic they are trying to reduce..

UPDATE- Just got the email from Mammoth- $50 credit off the locker if you: 1. Use your Pass Cash to renew your locker for the 2011/12 season or 2. Save $50 and use another method of payment to renew your locker. thanks! as sierra lady says, maybe the mountain does read the forum..
anyway, keeping my locker another year, and happy about it.

That's incredible... although, I really don't get the whole locker thing anyway. I can't see why anyone would pay anything close to that when you either have a car to store crap in or take the shuttle from your house and bring the essentials. I can find many better things to spend $325 on (like donuts)

$100....? now that might be worth the convenience.

I've been riding for 22 yrs and used a ski locker maybe 3 times. That also includes skiing locally, and living/working at a ski area. Although, I did have a locker at Copper Mtn when I was an instructor there, but I rarely used it on my days "off".

This is my second year with a season locker (2011/2012). I wish I had seen this thread on the forums earlier. I think this is a good place for me to share my story. Last year when lockers went up from $2 to $8 per opening, I ended up getting a season locker for $325 - it worked out to be cheaper for me that way. Then when it came time to renew my MVP in April I wanted to buy Pass Cash to use to renew my season locker. The first letter that was mailed to us in early 2011 said Pass Cash could be used for lockers. Then in early April when I called 1-800-Mammoth to renew my MVP they advised me against buying any Pass Cash if my intension was to use it to renew my season locker. So, I listened to their advice since, at that time they did not know yet if we'd be allowed to pay for our season lockers with Pass Cash. So, just to be sure, I called 1-800-Mammoth again on April 30th (since it was the last day to buy Pass Cash). They once again told me the same thing, that Pass Cash would not be allowed to be used to pay for season lockers but, in June they planned to offer the $50 off deal again if you renewed you locker by sometime in early July. So, once again I listened to their advice and did not buy Pass Cash. Then later Mammoth decided to allow people to pay for their lockers with Pass Cash but only if you did not buy your locker early and get the $50 discount. So, I got screwed, I paid early and got the $50 discount ($275 instead of $325) but, if I had bought Pass Cash, I could have renewed my locker later and only paid $240. I would've bought $375 of Pass Cash for $300 - if Mammoth would've made this decision by April 30th. I thought I was ticked off when lockers went from $2 to $8 per opening - I was even more ticked off when I got screwed out of the Pass Cash deal on my season locker.

I bought Pass Cash the past 3 years (got $600 for $500) and used it to buy my season pass every following year (the $100 discount was worth it). Now that they don't allow that anymore and they said I couldn't use Pass Cash for my season locker renewal - there's no reason for me to buy Pass Cash any more. I don't buy anything else from the mountain except Bloody Mary's & the occational Margarita. However, I did hear a rumor that Hyde is now accpeting Pass Cash - if that's true, I could've used it there. I just thought it would be kinda crazy to pay my 2011/2012 bar bill a year in advance.

I call BS. With the bonus pass cash, that's a couple of bonus bloody mary's.

I have worked for 4 ski resorts and Mammoth really does put on a spread for their guests. Mammoth not only puts out guests surveys, but the DO monitor the forums and make changes based on feedback. :!:
