yaa, I've worked for the mtn before and it takes some time to check where and how the snow is. then the ski patrol has to do their thing and put up boundaries. typically, in the beginning and end of season they operate 1, 3 and in early season (possibly the top)

its really done poorly ... every other resort updates conditions several times a day

I think its not really a priority to keep us informed ...they know theyve got the corner on the SO. CAL market

For the jillionth time, the biggest competition for any ski area isn't another ski area. It's the skier's notion that their next session will be next season (or next month or next week) instead of tomorrow.

now there isn't really a escuse for it still saying they have 1.5 inches of new snow and that it is cloudy with mild snow showers.

If you check the snow report DURING THE SEASON they do update the conditions several times a day. But when the resort is CLOSED and not much is happening, there really isnt much to report.
