So it didn't live up to the hype. The braeburns I got earlier were the best so far.
I used to be with it, then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with, isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me. It'll happen to yoooouuu.

Braeburns and Pink Ladies are a standard if I can't find Honeycrisps. I'll give those sumatras a try.

I just got an apple corer too but mine doesn't "quarter", just cores. What if you have to make apple rings for baked apple rings with bacon? ;)

I want one of those fancy apple peeler/corers...

Then I can make apple pie in a jif! Here is a recipe for a DELICIOUS apple pie for those who like to make pies http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Apple-Pie- ... etail.aspx (note: if you make it, be sure to put a baking sheet under the pie pan, the syrup will overflow). I've made this a few times but it just takes too long to peel/core the apples so I haven't made it in a couple years. Sooo yummy though. (this is the recipe I use for my pies crusts: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Best-Ever- ... etail.aspx)

I used to have one of those gizmos. It was over 100 years old and worked great.
