That's a sweet photo! Other than the crescent moon, I really like the fine, wispy character of the sky with the sun back illuminating it. Nice!

The high country fall colors are always a 3-4 week experience with different areas peaking at different times - then poof, gone. Then they usually go off in the Owens Valleys for another month or so. Some of the trees in the Owens were really nice last weekend but a lot of them have the dead green leaf look. Not really a good season for colors this year, despite the bright spots. They always seem to be best after a wet year with a warm, sunny fall. But some of the more sheltered spots with good water always seem to have good color.
