With all the talk of these streaking across the sky, thought this might be of some interest..
Every meteorite fall on earth mapped. These are the ones found or with physical evidence. Note the ocean covers aprox. 3/4 of the worlds surface and has few indicators on this interactive map. Oahu does have a couple...

My Gramps found one near Barstow many years ago.. it was taken to space scientists and confirmed. I have a newspaper article with his picture holding it somewhere. Would love to get that hand me down one day, but i think it's in a Library in Illinois still.
