Today is Ansel Adams 111th birthday. He is definitely my favorite photographer mostly because of my love of Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. If you've never been to an exhibition of his prints I highly recommend checking it out. It's amazing to see his work in very large format prints. Impressive is an understatement!
In honor of Ansel here are a couple of my shots that I took where Ansel also shot.
Scripps Pier in La Jolla, one of the Ansel Adams posters
Lower Yosemite Falls detail, shot in 1983 on Kodak Pan-X film scanned from 8x10 print
Moon set over the Sierra Nevada at sunrise
