"...town is quiet." That is just the way you want it. Nobody seemed to know about that bus thing on this forum or did not say.

Where are those good will ambassadors from June Lake to meet you at the Tiger Bar? Where is the mayor?

Okay, here is the deal. You need to look up at Carson Peak and just watch. It won't be long before you will see something strange flying over, up, sideways, in a V pattern, or at speeds unknown to man.

You can always hang out with the stylistics at the fancy, smancy lodge.

So, I will have to bring up the Church of the Cosmic Origin in the June Lake thread for you to brush up on.

Should be excellent skiing for you. Have fun!

Windy. It will be the tiger tonight. everything is closed for Sunday.but that is ok,the quiet is good.do I need a tin foil hat?
I think I will try the Eagle Lodge parking early a.m. I have never skied chairs 15-25-22 to get things going. The view all the way down 395 was spectacular . I will never tire of the view from Bridgeport to the Sierra. Mono Craters were coated in snow. very nice. It is worth the drive. :)

"It is worth the drive." That drive is always good year after year after year.

Listen, if those weird monkeys from the church start holding hands, chanting and circling where you are staying tonight, just tell them that if they do not vacate the property pronto, you will call Jack Bing.

Just keep your eye on Carson Peak. I guarantee that within ten minutes day or night you will see a UFO tracking across the peak.

There are photos from the 80s of UFOs coming up out of Mono Lake, too.

Hey man, I only report this stuff.

I'm sure several forum members knew about the June->Mammoth bus schedule. I didn't say anything to WZ because I thought he was correct in that it would be running this week. The schedule says weekend and holiday service through 3/24/13 and since this is more or less a holiday week I just assumed the bus would be running all week. Obviously the PTB who arranged this bus schedule do not consider this week a holiday. :(

WZ, parking at Eagle will be much easier and accessible for you anyway since you won't have to deal with the traffic heading up Minaret to the Chair 2/Main Lodge area.

Rise and shine and have a great few days! :)

SL- I thought the bus ran mid week. Then I read the schedule. My bad.I did indeed park at Eagle. Nice location and it gave me access to the right hand side of the mountain. Very Cool. I had a great day skiing. Chair 9-5-3 and of course the upper Gondola were " Amazing". Stole that from Huell. The wind at the top was strong, made for a nice push off over the Cornice.

Scotty.....I have my eyes and ears ready for "flying V patterns". Kind of like Mt.Shasta and the "Lumerians"? :)

Tomorrow I will tackle the left side of the hill.......... 8-)

Tonight it might be the Tiger or Sierra Inn, if it is open.

oh, it was not crowded. NICE. !!!!!!!

Good report. Amazing how it can take two days to conquer a mountain of that proportion.

Have you seen the elephant yet?

Woolly, the Lemurian elephant?

Do not be influenced by Negatarians.

There is no doubt in my mind that you could step out of the Tiger Bar at any time and see something streak across the peak.

Continue to have fun, because that is the way it is done!

Oh, I guess you really did see the elephant. Now you know that he is sleeping and does not like to be disturbed.

Driving back from Mammoth tonight,I happened to glance to my left and saw a bunch of lights on the mountain. Are those Woolys 'Cat friends doing their thing over night? Tom Cattin around? Or they on loan from Mt. Shasta ?

The truth is out there..............

And my Burger at Grumpys was good.

Just thought you might be interested to know that it is "Poncho" with two o's. Poncho Sanchez. And if you want to pronounce it properly, the first o sounds just like the second one. There's no "ah" in Poncho.
