There must be some runs that wont be too crowded during the Valentines week....on my last trip only the Chair 2 trailer and Mill Cafe were open, along with the Main Lodge Ch 1-3-Gondola and some others right there.......

If June is booked Alpenhof or Austria Hof?............

Yes the holiday is Monday, 2/18, but Prez Week (or Ski Week) is the week previous.

Town may not be 100% booked, but June Lake could really use your business.

oh, I made a trip to Nstar today........skiing was good, no crowds, folks from Michigan, Wisconsin and San Diego were my chair mates.

South on 267 towards NS. That is Lookout Mtn. Martis Camp Chair serves it.( the rest of NS to the left)



And we had some snow happening. This is the first snow since Jan 10.



Promised Land lift, backside, Castle Peak run in the distance

And of course, chain control westbound over Donner Summit

it was hard pack....they groom the heck outta that hill..........there was some icy spots too.

But guess what..............yes indeed, I am heading down 395 on Sunday.

but, I just saw the daily ticket prices............now I know why I buy Season Passes.But full speed ahead, and damn the ticket prices!!!

That depends on how early you want to get up Zeph.

Yeah I know they groom the heck out of Northstar. I may spend a weekend or two there a winter.......Did they groom the islands yet? I personally am partial to the bumps...though they're kinda bad bumps.

The Islands have not been groomed. And they are nasty. They groomed Polaris on the Backside lift. It is one of ny fav runs when they do. I bet you like skiing the "Rapids" under the Backside lift.

I think I may take the June shuttle into Mammoth. I just read that it goes to the Main Lodge. That might be easier for me.

Even if you drove up to the Main, you would probably have to park so far down the road that you would have to shuttle from there.

This way the bus stops outside the Main and no hassle driving and parking.

Smart move Zeph! Have fun and you will really enjoy Mammoth.

I made it. but no shuttle service mid week. Bummer. I guess I will be getting up early. June Mtn looks great. Beautiful view driving south to 158. 27 degrees at 16:10. town is quiet.
