REI CEO Sally Jewell to replace Ken Salazar as the new head/Secretary of the Interior.

Anyone notice how BHO's been replacing ALOT of people that were selected under the start of his first administration?

Could that be because he has new handlers now, and their own particular direction/ideals/values/politics is somewhat different than those who were originally in charge back in 2008-09?

Nice! Very nice! Go Mammoth!

I always thought Mammoth Lakes was a pretty cool town, cuz there wasn't any corruption or backroom politics like in other places around the country. Everything open and above-board for all to see. ML's citizens are totally in control of their elected officials! Yay, for the representative local "democracy"!

Woot!

(PS - Non-locals and second-home owners rule too! Locals stand down, yall!)

The opposition in TML needs to form a resistance movement like SWARM. LOL

Protest outside each council meeting and wage a war against the politics that aren't too popular. Keep posting even more comments to SW's articles and elsewhere. Hold the officials' feet to the fire at every opportunity. The ol' packdog mentality!

And start recall petitions of course.

Or do nothing...

hehe yes we do!....Locals are great, but so far this year and last year, the "local" government hasn't been very impressive. F up afer F up.

Recall petition for sure. The comments section of the SW article are being heavily moderated.

Well the problem is nobody is willing to run for Council. Let me try to explain how that works: recall one, succeed, then have a special election with one candidate -- the one who just got recalled.

We'll eventually find out why the Town Manager resigned. Best completely uninformed speculation is that there was another hiring irregularity. I kinda doubt the Budget & IT Manager position was eliminated, so why did the one listed on the town website only last ten months (thru June 2012)?

More on the situation in Mali.

Henderson's blog on Hagel (bowing/folding to the Israel-lobby's pressure), and the London-based bankers eyeing some more minerals, diamonds, and uranium to grab.

And once again ... a "humanitarian intervention" is "needed"..

Shouldn't WWIII have started already? I'm sure I read it here...

I'm still laughing at the ideas that "the elites" want to kill most of "us" off. I guess "the elites" aren't students of history or else they would understand what happened when half the population died from the Black Plague.

It must suck to feel so powerless and victimized by these nameless, faceless evil "elites".

The economic solution is out there.

And it's as apparent as a return to previous ways of ensuring prosperity for the greatest number. And NOT the greatest prosperity for the least number.

Which is it gonna be, America? 99% or the 1%?

A drowning fiat-enslavement and a life of ever-increasing taxation or a return to what has been proven to actually work (for the greatest good), as shown by the past history (of over 100yrs ago)?

Hard (real/backed-up) currency or disposable flush-it-down-the-toilet paper "currency"?

What a surprise a site hawking silver predicts a return to hard asset backed currency.

Of course there's a reason countries went to fiat currency and it wasn't to enslave the common man.

Another great article by Paul Craig Roberts, on the ever-advancing police-state:

Why do we need a police state when the elites are going to have us all killed off? :?
