Don't we go to concerts to get happy and listen to music? I'm sure 95% of us here don't go to take pictures.

You can head back to your picture threads now WZ and WS....

Maybe one of you can start a thread called "Concert Pictures"
???

i dont take pictures either.....plus most venues dont even let you take pictures these days....to me its lame that all you see now adays of the people in the front row are them holding their cell phones up so they can post it to you tube or something....put the phones down and enjoy the show!

The only picture you want to take is of yourself standing next to the performer like Shirley does at every concert she goes to.

I have never taken a photo at a concert yet. I wish I did in those early days.

In fact, I don't even go to concerts, I just read the reviews.

I just don't like being around crowds. Bishop is too crowded. There are just too many people in too many places.

But don't let that stop you from going to a concert and reporting back. I hope you feel close to all those screaming, sweaty bodies. Reach out and touch someone. Throw your underpants if you get a wild hair. We don't care anymore! Phil Collins

I will read about it from isolation in the hermitage.

If I was a concert goer these days I would cheat and get video, audio, stills or whatever-Man! What good is a review without a photo? Huh? Tell me, dang it!

One of my stories in a magazine doesn't cut it unless a photo goes along with it. And in fact, they will not accept a story without photos. So there!

I used to be archaic but now am antiquated. Historically or hysterically speaking that is. :hai:

That is how a good review is done. You get a shot of outside the theater and then one of the band cranking it.

Then, you include text about all the nasty stuff you see going on around you. Oh, I forgot, that was back at the Fillmore.

That shtooping business right on the dang floor in front of God and everybody was just too much for this old sailor.

Back then before '72 it was impossible to have a mosh pit when one was surrounded by Hells Angels. Unless, of course, you wanted to become part of their mosh pit.

That's not how a good review is done WS. Ya gotta talk about what was played and things like that. It's a "review" duh... Just saying "good show" and putting up some pics doesn't even count as a review in my opinion. But there hasn't been a good review since 1972 anyways.

You can do the review however you want to do it. A photo is okay. Text is okay. Your personal opinion is okay. It really doesn't matter. Each person does it differently.

A lot of times the real story is what happens in the crowd instead of what is going on the stage. Whatever!

Just tell the story however you see it. That is what a review is about.

Was page 5 after 1972? If so I was probably just buttering you up for a cheesecake down the road.

WS you missed your calling. Why haven't you ever gone into politics?

Bottom line, a picture is not a review. If you have a video with sound that may be thought of as part of a review.

There hasn't been a good review since page 5.

windyscotty, my next 20 posts will be written as if I were a blind man, a long lost cousin of Mr. Ray Charles. I recommend you do the same. Going out on a limb here, but I bet we can take it to a whole 'nother level...

everybody's taking pictures at gigs these days.
That way they can relive what they missed because of that last uber important text.
The smell of burning leather, as we hold each other tight.
Don't touch me there.

What in the hell is the matter with you?

I just got done saying that a person can do a review however they freakin' want. I did say that a good review combines text, photos and perhaps video.

If my buddy's daughter can do a great music review at 15 incorportating the elements I just mentioned, then I would take her example.

You are spinning the same old bs. You know everything, I know nothing. You think you know. You don't know sh_t!

Shifty, you better start shifing up your gears, because your brain is slowing down. You might need to get your head examined, because you are still blind and cannot see.

OGT, it is the same old crap with you. Pick, pick, pick away at some inconsequential bs. Worse than old freakin' lady!
