The world's ugliest logo!

All kidding aside (or was I) I love da Olympics, although the 65,112,454 swimming heats are overkill.

All this last week I've been waiting for someone else here to post up this thread. Thanks, cheaps.

About the 2012 London logo...

I knew within weeks of its unveiling of what it 'said' and represented. Figure it out, folks. It's ugly for a reason. No coincidence. Wait til you see all the (similar) symbolism put in your face in the next 3 weeks..

Did anyone watch the 2012 Super Bowl?

The security apparatus planned and set up for these London Games is unprecedented. Maybe we will eventually found out why this is so..

Hope I'm wrong.

Why didnt you start the thread?

Pish tush, none of this real world depressing stuff. I'm going to enjoy the Games.

I'm trying to figure out if Michael Phelps is going to be able to repeat. I'm not so sure.

That's easily the WORST Olympic logo ever. Absolutely horrid. But that doesn't matter, the Olympics are about the athletes and human acheivement. I've been looking forward to them for a while and even more so after watching the Olympic trials. The DVR is going to be kept really busy!

Good grief. Only the British could make "Izzy" look good.

Those of us that have marketing, branding, and graphics design backgrounds look at and care about logos. Obviously you don't.

So apparently the mascots are cyclopean drops of steel. They look scary to me. I think they should have used these for the same effect and it might have been cheaper:

Just add one more and you've got the 5 Olympic rings in there.

Can't help but wonder why the selection of the logo was MAGENTA and yellow, exclusively..

Strange that they would select magenta (not a primary color at all)..

?

In any case, I'm looking forward to watching the 2012 Games, as I alway have since '72.

(PS - Windy, there hasn't been any real excitement or good drama in the Olympics since 1972..)
