Back on Joni Mitchell "Court and Spark"

I am also listening to King Sunny Ade and his African Beats "Synchro Series". They this great sounding Hawaiian type guitar combined with African JUJU music.....call and response....it sounds like the tropics....just flows along..... ;)

I'm hooked up on Link Tv with World Music. The whole freakin' world rocks, and don't you ever forget it"

I rock, you rock, and even God Rocks!

It is time to get down with J. Geils and Live "Full House."

With such notables as First I Look At the Purse, Hard Drivin' Man, Love Stinks and Freeze Frame.

An updated modern version of a song a guitar-freak friend of mine turned me on to back in '76 or '77, I think..

He was also the same fanatical guitarist who talked me into going to the sold-out UFO concerts a few years later.

From that point on it was always about the Flying V (sound)..

[PS - the vocalist here ... well, sure makes me miss ol' Phil Mogg .. or Robin McAuley, for that matter ... pftt..]

PPS - I was out there whistling in the audience at The International Amphitheatre one of the Fall nights (1978) that this album was master-recorded and later pressed into vinyl (1979). One of the all-time greatest LIVE rock albums. Seriously. Crazy/loud/deafening concert and the amped-up energy and stoked-up vibe in that old place was stratospheric that night. Sadly, the walls were still there left standing after the show ended..

This is ethereal. "We are children of the future..."

I was born on this rock
And I've been travelin' through space
Since the moment I first realized
What all you fast talkin' cats would do if you could
You know, I'm ready for the final surprise
There ain't no way around it
Ain't nothing to say
That's gonna satisfy my soul deep inside
All the prayers and surveyors
Keep the whole place uptight
While it keeps on gettin' darker outside ......

Windy, nice call on Space Cowboy

And I don't let my friends get hurt
All you back room schemers, small trip dreamers
Better find something new to say
Cause you're the same old story
It's the same old crime
And you got some heavy dues to pay..."

A young pioneer girl stands on a rock outcrop with her hands behind her head gazing up at the sky. She wears a straw hat, and her long, calico dress flows in the wind. The sky is cobalt blue, the clouds are like cotton balls, she has just made it across the West, and It's A Beautiful Day!

And the 'official' video of Midnight City.

Anyone remember them performing at the online telecast from Coachella last April?

This cut starts to play in yer head after a while...

Damn 91x.
