What are you listening to right now?

Postby snowdreamer » Thu Jan 01, 2009 9:52 pm

I searched and was unable to find this thread, maybe it was in the old forum.
So I'm starting a new one. What are you listening to right now and I don't mean right this second. LOL
What do you find yourself listening to on a regular basis?

My 16 year old has quite an eclectic taste in music, maybe this describes most teenagers now a days, but her Itunes library is quite interesting. I find myself listening to her stuff more and more. Not everything mind you. Some stuff is very bubble gum, other stuff is a little too loud, a few artist are from Disney Channel, like Jessie Mccartney. :P But more often than not, the selections are really good. Heard this today and I really like it.

"Hold you in my arms, " by Ray LaMontagne

Its been some time since any one song caught my attention, but this, I like.

off topic but i am currently watching Don Larsen's 1956 Perfect Game against the Dodgers. It is on the newly launched MLB network

Back on topic, my fiancee has the new Pink CD and Britney Spears which i had to endure, the Pink CD is better.

I played Rock Band today, so all day i got to "fake" guitar play some killer tunes from Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Rush, Metallica, Bad Religion, and a few others

Have your fiancee listen to this, I like this version of womanizer a lot better. I like how they add K-fed's name in the lyrics. :D All-American Rejects cover Britney Spears' "Womanizer" LOL...

I'm watching a Neil Young dvd called Heart Of Gold. Filmed at the Ryman in Nashville. Really great stuff. It's the first time he performed the songs fron his Prairie Wind cd.

i highly recommend Pandora.com as a music choice, you can download their application for your iphone. Basically it is a music site where you create "stations" based on a Genre or group. For instance if you put in Led Zeppelin as your artist than the website will find similar artists/bands of your initial artist/band to create a "music station" if you like the song you give it a thumbs up and it remembers, if not than thumbs down a song and it will never be played again. And it is free!

I saw that last week on VH1 Classic. I have it recorded on my DVR. That's a really awesome show!

What did CCR say? "A southern man don't need him 'round anyhow", well I'm glad Neil didn't listen.

The dvd is a 2 disc set. Disc 2 has some great behind the scenes stuff with the different band members. The guitar tech talks about the different guitars and who they came from and which ones Neil used to write different songs.
