Haven't posted a beer in a while. This is such an "old reliable", I forget about it. One of the best IPA's in SD county.

I'd previously tried Alesmith's IPA from a bottle and was a bit disappointed--I just didn't think it had much depth of flavor. However, I sampled it on tap this weekend and it was excellent. Interesting to see the difference. Also, the new Enjoy By is just amazing...

Hmm. Try another bottle of the Alesmith. I find it pretty consistent. We get Enjoy By on Wednesday in O'side. Got the growler ready.

Got to try a new one, Tap It IPA, won IPA category at last great american beer fest. Reminded me of Stone or Uintah IPA's. Great aroma but a bit less flavor than I was expecting, given it won the gold. Still a very good beer, but given how many great IPA's there are nowadays it's really difficult to stand out.

^^^Might have to go to that...

This could go in the Happy thread as well...As I had one of my best photo sessions of my near 30 year career the other day shooting Dane Reynolds, Bobby Martinez, and Kelly Slater with Timmy, Nathaniel, and Taylor Curran as well. And in pumping surf to boot. It was sick...I just finished editing all the material from the last few days and I had to relax and have one of my favorite beers...

Got some Younger today with absolutely no wait and about half the tables in the restaurant empty! Had it with Elder, Sanctification and Row 2/Hill 56. It was certainly worth going for--the smoothest IPA I have ever tried by a large margin. Previously, that title probably went to Elder, but there was no comparison between the two on that front.

Outstanding Paradise Guy! Stoked!

Nice find Skeeze. All those beers are great. I have been drinking row 2 for quite some time, but am stoked to see fellow hopinistas in search of the Younger getting a sample of Row 2 as well.

pliney elder/younger to ME is so over hyped. I get the smoothness part of it but that is like saying the least spicy salsa. I like to feel it hit, then mellow or what ev. I think that big dumb red circle gets waaaaaay to much hype. Hey if you like it, then I'm not here to tell you differently.
