Campo = YUM

Amazing chocolate cheesecake as well, probably the best dessert I've ever had.

We're BIG foodies, so just curious what the best restaurants and/or cocktails there are on the resort or reachable by the bus lines. We'll have a kitchen in our condo so we'll eat breakfast and some dinners there, but lunches on the slopes and some romantic and fun nights out are in order! :rofl:

Petra's and Nevados are walking distance from village and the best food in town. Dont miss the lakeside up at tamarak lodge - take a shuttle there. Restaurant at Convict lake is great but you need a car

Toomeys is right in the village, and I think it's the best food in town!

Those other places are higher end dining, but I think you'll find Toomeys to be just as high quality foodwise, but with better prices (high for traditional takeout prices, but low for the gourmet food you're getting). Also, you'll be there long enough to try them all out.

Edit: I see I'm not the first to mention Toomey's. I recommend, the smoked trout bagel for breakfast, the lobster taquitos for dinner, and if Chef Dave is there, ask for his awesome mac n cheese with all kinds of great cheeses, bacon, sweet onion, whatever you want, Dave will make it for ya!

Campos Shampos. Perrys is the best kept secret in town the new owners (sort of new) are killing it with fresh homemade dishes at reasonable non touron prices. Or pay the Village tax. Youre call.

Campos was solid. But of course they have the typical Mammoth village drink prices. $7 a pint is ridiculous. But the food prices were fair and everything was fresh. Service could still use a bit of work.
