Lillie came through surgery like a champ! Dr had more work to do to her knee than he anticipated. Her knee was also damaged from her fall. We have some dental work to do as well, which is common in this breed. Lillie is walking around her Playpen and is happy and a very good eater, pooper and pea-er! All signs of good health. I will continue to post pictures. Lillie thanks everyone. :inlove:

Came across this thread for the first time today. So glad you were able to raise $ to help this little girl!
Let us all know if when she's all healed if she needs to find a home...we'll put the word out here in the OC! I already know a family looking to adopt a small dog just like Lillie.

Lillie is doing really well. She is confined to a playpen and a kennel, but she no longer wears her "cone" and she is so happy to be healing. I will post more tomorrow when I see her.

We are having a meeting this afternoon about the next step for Lillie. I am sending postcards out to all the well wishers that donated to her cause. She is sitting right in front of me in her new dress. She is starting to put some pressure on her leg!

I brought Tenzing, my little Alpha Terrier to work this morning to play with Lillie. Lillie has Tenzing wrapped around her little finger. Plus she is running and playing, which means she is putting a little weight on that knee/leg without even knowing it. This interaction is hilarious. Lillie is also back to her routine, she is going to the BR outside and loves to go outside. If anyone wants to come and visit her her visitn hours are 9-1130, and 4-530. Thanks, MO

Yes, we are open until Noon on Friday. I am starting to take Lillie to myhouse now at night. She needs less constaints and she is gradually putting weight on that knee. This morning she had a propper bath and groom, done by none other than myself. After putting a little "Canine #9" behind each ear, she is adorable and pretty for visitors.

My son dropped our Pomeranian 4 years ago on New Years day as we were just about to get in the car to go home and broke his front leg. Dr Teslaa came from home to set his leg. Nice doctor.. Nice office. Hope Lillie is doing well.

I just found this old thread for the first time, and while I sort of agree that the sentiments and love for pets expressed by the contributors is inspiring, I found the basic story to be disgusting.

Here is a frequent forum poster, who works for a very questionable local vet with an absolutely horrible reputation, putting out a call for contributions for a doggie with a broken leg which has been left on their doorstep.

But vet doesn't just go ahead and fix the doggie, but needs $1800... no, make that $3000 (plus), for what sounds like a fairly uncomplicated surgery. Sounds like it cost sort of "all they could get."

To me, this sounds unquestionably like a greedy con game for cash, yet I see no one on the forum questioning this... is this the game: That if we love doggies, we are automatically set up for scams and con games, and to question it makes us feel or seem cold-hearted?

This thread you resurrected is over 2 years old. The original poster no longer lives here or works for this vet.

Is there a reason why you dug this up just to vilify a local vet you don't care for? That's just plain mean-spirited.

Happy New Year! :)
