quote stolen from the can you ski all year using g2? thread.

But it's also appropriate here :P :P

I think it was more like the 70's when the Rafters was the hot spot.

I started going to Mammoth in 1980 and the Rafters was the hot spot then -- for a few more years too I recall. Lots of fun times there! That's where I met local cutie Chris "whatshisname" and because of him kept coming back to Mammoth and decided to learn to ski.

...hanging around the Sierra Nevada Inn sign. I watched them go up the past two days...pretty cute!

“And we’re going to promote it. We’re going to be handing out flyers at the bottom of the slopes at the end of the day.”

Isn't that illegal?

I heard today that after Rafters is open Ocean will be next.

"Who remembers me as the Rafter's "coat check girl" from 1983-1985? That was the very first job I got here and I worked 5 nights a week when the bands played and skied during the day! I wasn't paid a salary and couldn't charge more than $2.00 per coat, but could keep all my tips. So I charged $1.50 and inevitably, someone would had me $2.00 and tell me to keep the change!! "

Regardless of what happened with Clearwater, it will be cool to have that property including Ocean Harvest in action again.

Yes finally a water park! I have been saying we needed one for years. (right next to the dispensary of course) I should be in charge of planning!

My place in ML is next door to the vacant lot where Rafters will be. Nice to get rid of the eyesore that has been there. Anyone have an idea when Rafters is scheduled to open?

Was this before or after my stand on a medical marijuana dispensary?

Was it Rafters then, or House of Dudes or Sunset Grill or something like that?
