Letter from Ashley at Suddenstink,
Hi xxxxx,

As I mentioned before, if Verizon has bandwidth they are holding back, then Suddenlink certainly doesn’t know about it. Please know that money to secure more bandwidth is not the issue, there simply isn’t any additional circuit space for purchase.

Thank you,

-Ashley

What is interesting is that Sunddenstink has their own Microwave Data link from Mammoth to Bishop, Sunndenstink claims that they have no issues in Bishop and that internet out of bishop to LA the capacity is ok, The bottleneck is from Mammoth to Bishop. Well suddenstink why don't you add more capacity to your microwave set up. Verizon add what you need to support more people use up that fiber now and reduce the congestion. Verizon your existing line will be worthless once the Digital 395 project is up and running in a couple of years.

I heard suddenlink is not selling anymore service in Mammoth Lakes as we have capped our Bandwith. Bottom line, SL sucks!

Does anybody know why Verizon is only offering service to some ML residents? Unfortunately, I live in town but in a place where they don't offer service.

Or better question, does anyone have any idea when Verizion will be expanding their capabilities within ML?

Im almost ready to go get Hughes Net, only problem is, I want to be able to play multiplayer video games and it is suggested not to do it. Anyone have past experience with Satelite/Internet?

Why do still feel that Mammoth is capped the bandwith. As i have stated several times here that Verizon is holding back. Suddenlink would like to get more T-3 lines from Verizon but Verizon claims to not have any left. However I have access to a Ds3 Oc3 200MPps line that would potentially serve around 500-1000 customers if I want to deploy a system. Verizon can do it much cheaper.

^^^^ Great!
Although this does not fix the issue of them not offering it to us.

How much can I pay you per month to jump on your service that can serve "500-1000" ppl per month.

yes, don't do Hughesnet.. it sucks. There is a new satellite network out there that just started that is supposed to be much better, but I don't know much about it yet.

The price is outrageous and does not pencil out. Basically Verizon is hording the bandwith for who knows what or who. It makes no sense. If and when the digital 395 is completed Verizon current bandwidth will be worthless in comparison. The whole this is about jockeying for position.

My friends are still looking for a solution and we might just have one.
