Mammoth VillageFest/Rib Cook Off - July 2012

Postby tjp » Thu Jul 26, 2012 2:35 pm

Heading up to Mammoth this weekend...anyone have the 411 on the Mammoth Village Fest Rib Cook Off, other than what is on the Mammoth Mountain web-site?

Is it worth checking out?

We've never been to this event, but I've heard from others that it's always a lot of fun. Yummy ribs to taste/evaluate and free live music.

If you have kids, don't forget the Kid's Fishing Festival Saturday morning at the Snowcreek Ponds, then the MLFD Firemen's Canoe Races at Horseshoe after that and the Firemen's Picnic at Shady Rest Park on Sunday. Also, the June Lake Loop Mountain Music Festival going on now through Sunday in June Lake! :whew:

The weather will be perfect this weekend! :sun:

Thanks! No kids, but we'll make sure to check out the June Lake Loop Mountain Music Festival as well. Only up for a quick weekend, but want to squeeze in some mountain biking and perhaps a round of golf at Sierra Star....can't wait to get up there!

Just and FYI to anyone researching this event; I did attend this event and the ribs were fantastic, the music was great, and the Mammoth Brewing brews were superb! I hope they have again next year!
