Rosenthal, McAndrews,Juarez

Postby fijisurf » Sat Jan 29, 2011 5:33 pm

Following the deaths of Mammoth patrolmen Walter Rosenthal, Scott Mc Andrews and James Juarez in April of '06 I bought one of the memorial passes and two of the decals made in their honor. My decal went on my helmet which is cracked and needs replacing. I'd like to buy a half dozen more of the decals if there are any still for sale anywhere... one for my new skid lid, one for my Liddle tri fin and some for the rest of my skiing family. Anyone?

Thanks from San Luis Obispo

I looked for some a couple years ago. I came up empty. Malolo from the forum here had an extra one and was kind enough to let me have it.

your best bet might be to just get it done through a stciker service online or something. give them the image and have it printed onto the sticker.

Hey, thanks for the image; grabbed it... I'd not thought of that. I'll do it.

Also try PM'ing Cruzer here on the forum. His son was the one who created the design and had them printed. Cruzer might have some more...or maybe not. :?

If you do print some yourself, I'm sure others might want some, too. I know I would since I had to razor them off my old skis that I'm trying to sell and would like 2 more for my new/used skis.

I was involved with the sale but have no stickers left.

If you make more, we would like to have several of them for new ski helmets as well.

This has been asked before; I'm almost positive that Cruzer is out of them as well.

I'd like to get in on 3 or 4 of the stickers from whoever ends up making them. I can contribute to the cost if the order ends bigger then expected...

Sorry, But I do not have any of the patrol stickers left. I will dig thru my records and let the OP know what company made them for us. They may still have the trim die.

Just an observation: Aside from the sales of the original sticker going to the families being a very cool thing the the sticker itself reflected a lot of thought and design skill, simple but elegant, timeless and evocative..perfect really.

I forwarded the image to three "sticker production" companies yesterday evening...(there are literally hundreds of them) for a quote.

Keep us posted.

If a portion will still go towards the families, I'm in for a few stickers.

Thanks! :)
