However, once one person comes on here and solely states his opinion and gets BASHED by the "mob" that is all you regulars on here i draw the line. This is not the first case either, someone stating their opinions or making a mistake because they're new to this thread doesn't warrant a "YOU'RE IN THE WRONG THREAD :@ :@ :@ " towards people. As to those saying "retard" is offensive, i agree it is offensive and i try to avoid using it but there are tons of inappropriate comments made on here and go unnoticed. I'm appalled when i come on here and someone asks "how much snow are we going to get?" and when you can see their post count is 1 and havent been on here before, and to get a response "LOOK AT THE SOCAL SEPTEMBER STORMSSSS :@ :@ :@ :@ " pisses me off. It would be great just to see everyone talk about their favorite memories of mammoth, or that beautiful blob 2 weeks out we all hope would dump 4 feet, but everyone is quick to jump on an opportunity to prove someone's wrong. As to the current lack of snow(i hope i dont get yelled at for posting this on the winter activities thread) its only november 2nd. it's always darkest before dawn, there's a nice cold storm somewhere out there forming for us that will open another Mammoth season as usual.

well if someone is politely directing them to read a thread i personally don't see anything wrong with that :!: but what is bad is when someone says something like "duh everyone knows mammoth blah blah blah," then "read that other thread dummy!" is when the line is crossed. :fubar:

I don't think it is polite to direct someone to another thread. One way to look at it is, that the person(s) doing the directing might be percieved as a self proclaimed Know-it-all and it using a new poster to proove it. I do think the poster above has some valid points and I am as guilty as anyone else, well maybe not AS guilty as I take a pretty good beating on here, but there is some validity to what they say.

That's kind of true, but there are a few exeptions i think... you kind of made me look at that in a different way.
-Chairs 5, 12, and 25 are the best.
-I don't care how much you argue, the chair 14 outpost is never open.
-June Mountain is the suxiest ski area in the world, you should never go there.
