It looked really cool and had some fun looking technical turns in the trees near the bottom. I bet the kids loved it.

Yah I hit it today but I was on skis, wish I was on my board though. That was cool that they had the JLA Banked Slalom Course open to the public today. It was still fun on skis though. Its no Mt Baker, but for the 1st annual JLA I think its going to be great. It definitely gets a little technical where the course gets tight in the trees half way down Drycreek. The Unbound crew will definitely have there work cut out for them doing maintenance on it tomorrow getting it race ready for Saturday. It definitely got a little rough in the afternoon. Looking forward to checking the race out on Saturday. and rootn on my buddy who actually just competed in The Mt Baker Banked Slalom 2 weeks ago.

It looked very cool and a lot of fun. I thought, nice to see somebody came up with a good idea with this course, not like the idea of Gondola Powder Day Madness.

you deserve a flaming for that comment. Banked Slalom=NOT for Skiiers.

This race means a lot of things, to a lot of people. Tony Hawk, Dave Downing, Pat Moore and Danny Kass.....just to name a few you're likely to run into this weekend. True living legends man. Research it before you get your panties up in a wad about ch. 5 & ch. 3 being crowded for a couple of days = Not the end of the word. Just sayin'

Im sure if this was a benefit to help Lindsey Vonn's busted up knee, you'd have no complaints.

^^

Jeff is an icon in snowboarding progression, and his family have deep connections to the mountain and community. I think it's a great tribute and a genuine, heartfelt event with deep roots right out of the gate. I only wish I could be there.

I see the same thing each time I look at the thread title. I'd like mine with some hollandaise sauce please.

^ See the email address below this website graphic? That's Jeff's mom Jane. Jeff's dad and Uncle used to both be volunteer firefighters on the MLFD while I worked there from '88-'94. Jeff and his brother were both born here. Yes, very strong ties to our community and Jeff is missed. :(

Rode the course all day today. Or tried to ride it. It is super technical and fast and gnarly. Very excited for the race tomorrow. Jeff was a great friend and it was super cool to see all the people that we saw today and can't wait to see the rest tomorrow. Super stoked on this event, but holy Sh!t the course is tough!!
