My weekend was going to be 75% cycling, 20% fishing, and 5% skiing. It looks like we'll need to rebalance those percentages! Yikes! It's winter outside! :?

It was flurrying in town on and off most of the day, with cold temps and high winds. Looking at the cams it doesn't appear anything stuck up there. Will look again in the morning since the forecast is calling for a few inches tonight and tomorrow. Dust on dirt!

Saturday was atrocious. I rode anyway. There were pockets of powder coming down center bowl, in between ice bulges. Bulletproof Ice. The visability was near zero, so you really were flying blind between the ice and powder. The off ramp on 3 was an ice rink. Gnarliest I've ever seen it. I started strapping in my back foot on the chair so I had a prayer of surviving the off ramp.

Today was MUCH much better. Really fun altogether. I think tomorrow AM is going to be excellent.

Silly fun. I went up to get my skis out of my locker to take them to Command Performance for their tune and summer storage wax and decided to take my last obligatory run of the season down Broadway around 11:30. The WROD's (2 of them) were dirty, full of tiny rocks and slushy, but it was fun to say I did it. Ran into the Biker395's and skied it with them. Photos posted up later or tomorrow due to limited Internet access right now.

Bye bye winter of 11/12...hello summer! :sun: 8-)

Awww. Great meeting up with you in the Main Lodge, SL!

Closing weekend sure was interesting. We got some Winter (Saturday), Spring (Sunday) and Summer (Monday). The top of Chair 3 was a rockfest, but the skiing up top was really pretty good.

Onward to summer!

Worse closing day conditions I remember. Still some snow up high, but a lot of stuff was burnt out (like wipe outs). The lower mountain was truly atrocious. Still had some fun and found an occasional good turn, but the slush was high and the corn was low.

Oh well, another season in the bag. Here's to '12/'13....Cheers

P.S. the beer was cold at Midstation and the entertainment level was high with all the crazies out on the hill, and I sent the last of my $50 of bonus pass cash, so the season ended well.
