Looks like this is a 2007 thread.I was there for the closer as ski patrol chased/harassed me to get off the hill :D
Always have the closing crew around..

The chair 23 hike was this burned out :)

One of the best closing weekends I have enjoyed.Less snow makes for more interesting lines.

Optimistic guess based on yesterday's conditions -

Lower gondola will be open as transportation to/from the remaining snow. Chairs 3 and 23 will be open for skiing. Chair 11 will be open for downloading only for those who get lost off 23. Chair 6 will be open to access the terrain park, but users will have to walk down the last few hundred yards. Upper gondola may be open if they can find enough snow to cover the ridgeline.

I rode up with an instructor this week, He said the worst thing that could happen would be a few inches of snow, because then noone would know where the rocks are.

Thanks for the report -- wasn't planning on skiing being my main source of entertainment for the weekend. Now I know for sure it won't be. :)

Twins and I skied from 8:20am to noon today and it was awesome. Great ski day today even with the limited runs. Have fun out there next weekend all. Twins and I will not be there.

^ Glad to hear you two had fun skiing today. I was up helping a friend in the office at Mammoth Mountain Chalets today and had a good view of Broadway and Chair 1. Couldn't believe how much snow melted just since I skied last Monday. MMSA is going to be hard pressed to maintain the "Broadway Rule" for another week at this point! :o :?

Looks like the weather will be getting quite a bit cooler heading into the holiday weekend.

A few inches of snow would only hide the dirt and rocks! :worried:

Does St. Anton's go all the way right now? Only TRUE intermediate way down (as far as I can tell).
