uh... that was kinda my point.

I was thinking that the MVP cash was funding everything through this down turn.

I was told that the mountain can't do a local deal because their lease is on federal land which is owned by everyone.

I guess $236 for 3 days is not too bad where the Costco deal was $185 I think ?

Drinks will be on me I guess as I told my mates I am bringing up that Costco would have the cheap tickets again this year :swear:

Exactly... Like I said, no whining, just vote with your dollars. I'm really hoping Mammoth reconsiders and starts offering discounted tickets on the level that Utah and Tahoe do.

Not necessarily true. I know that Footloose employees get passes and I think Kittredge employees might as well.

As a long-time resident here, I've never felt I deserved any special treatment. For me, the MVP made me a born-again skier and I'm grateful for that program.

Footloose & Kittredge pay for those passes.

Oh sorry...misunderstanding. I realize that those sport shops pay for their employees passes and not MMSA, but was just trying to relay that those local shops provide their employees with perks.

It's really pretty simple. The MVP program has opened several times during the last couple of years giving people the chance to jump on board for appox $650 for unlimited skiing/boarding. You break even after 7 days of riding. Next time the program opens up jump in. MM will open up the MVP program again, just stay tuned to the website. Or team up with an MVP person and ride their bring a freind pass. Or buy a three day pass. :geek:

The mountain reads the forum, and there are moderators. Why has this gone on for so long ????
MMSA please chime in and put this Costco question to rest.

The school kids get $10 tickets. At least a year or two ago they did.

Just got back from Utah. I did the math- it was only about $80 more expensive for a three day trip out there, including airfare and the more expensive alcohol.

PCMR tickets at costco are $68 each when you buy a 5 pack. canyons are $70. Solitude tickets were $65 at salty peaks. the cabins are much, much nicer for the same price. I paid $60 a night (along with 9 other people, of course) to stay in a brand new condo. $60 per night doesn't get you that in mammoth.

the best part? from Los angeles, it was 4.5 hours, door to door to get to the cabin up in Park city, and only 35 minutes of it is in the car. 5.5 hours to drive up to mammoth when you include bathroom breaks/stops, etc.

come on mammoth, try a little harder to keep your socal residents loyal.

this isn't whining, i'm just pointing out how i'm using my voting dollars...
