Costco Tickets?

Postby stevek » Mon Jan 16, 2012 5:23 pm

Does anyone know if Tickets will be sold at Costco this year? If so, when will they come out?

Thanks!

I believe in a thread somewhere around here it was reported that Mammoth will NOT be partnering with Costco this year. (or June for that matter)

must have worked too well last year. typical mammoth attitude about partnerships, they are too successful so mammoth ends them.

There are no good deals anymore for the average customer who would make the extra effort. :swear: Buy 2 days directly through Mammoth and receive NO difference from the 1-day ticket cost... or buy 3 days where they get you for way more money anyway, regardless of the discounted per day rate. :@

Just go to Utah. They are getting snow this week. Last week I paid $25, $56, $65, $56 and $53 for tickets (use Liftopia) at Brianhead, Snowbird, Park City, Brighton and Snowbasin. Very competitive on ticket prices, cheaper lodging available. Pays for the gas difference.

^ Financially thinking, wouldn't a diehard local be owning a pass instead of counting on Costco tickets? Just sayin. :?:

One would think... That all that MVP money(s), is coming in quite handy for the Mountain (MMSA) , this year

mmsa doesnt do much for locals. no special deals for the people who live here. we are offered the same deals as everyone else. in fact the only reason we can take advantage of them is because the mountain makes the offers to appeal to the customers outside of mammoth, not here in mammoth.
did you know if you worked in a ski shop in southern california you get a discounted lift ticket for mammoth (provided your shop put you on the list they sent to mammoth), but for local shops NADA....

not everyone can necessarily afford a season pass. the mvp did make it more attainable for most folks but still.....

can anyone tell me the last time mammoth did something for the locals, like an exclusive deal, offer, etc? i cant think of anything

I've never heard of any "local" deal. I lived in Sun Valley Idaho, same story there.

Not necessarily true. I know that Footloose employees get passes and I think Kittredge employees might as well.

As a long-time resident here, I've never felt I deserved any special treatment. For me, the MVP made me a born-again skier and I'm grateful for that program.

Footloose & Kittredge pay for those passes.
