Current setup in the parks

Postby sponginraider » Fri Mar 20, 2009 3:39 pm

I'm planning on heading up to june the weekend of 4/4-4/5 and i was wondering if anyone could give me an update on what is setup in the parks, both mambo and sunrise and also let me know if the superpipe has been in very good shape.

Thanks for the info

went last week. mambo has 4 smaller jumps on the top part, then if you go left there's 2 bigger jumps or if you go right there's some small rails. you need to keep your speed on those 2 last jumps or else it's hard to clear.

The super pipe was pretty crusty cornice-ee at the top, but it looks as if they are re cutting it soon.

Sunrise had many pieces of equipment but they were moving a lot of snow at the top, so I'm not sure what was covered. They did have the steepest part of the run open for skiers.

They knocked down everything at upper sunrise...some monstrosity is in the works. Looks like two big kickers, the first one's table had to be at least 60ft long?? but it was really chunky, looked like it was hastily built and obviously not completed. With the fresh pow covering it, they'll probably have the kickers rebuilt by next weekend? Not sure if they'll shave em back down to "normal" size or what...

The junction between upper/lower has a fairly long kicker, I'd say it's about 50ft. Pretty easy to clear, but don't knuckle it! I got a couple good airs on saturday despite the pow, but cased the knuckle one run when the snow started piling up...luckily there was a good layer of fresh

Bunch of jibs in the middle, then lower has a set of 3 kickers: I'd guess 40, 30, then 25ft? followed by two rows of jibs (3 in each row).

Does anyone have any idea what the dates of the red bull super park contest are?
