Actually, they will put it on the chair behind you if your skis brakes lock together securely. They did it for someone in my group yesterday after the lifty checked out the skis and was sure they were secure.

For boards, I saw a few resourceful riders simply use their bindings straps to attach the boards to the outside handrails and let them hang.

I guess it depends on the lift operator at the time. I heard one say that all skis have to go on the flat car. Oh well I don't ski so no worries. If I carry a board down I use it as a table for my Fat Tire...

That's what I've been told and I have a velcro band that holds the skis together. Maybe that was last year that they let them ride alone.

If it snows this week, is there a chance that Canyon trail will open up?

I would think if we get 3 ft. it might open. If we get 5 ft. maybe the Face will open.

That's a tall order! I'll keep doing my snow dances and willing the weather to blow south!

Malolo was smiling because he knew his Dodge could plow through this berm. It did without a problem much to my surprise.

Winter anyone?

I took a couple of pics going up J1 but it was so wet I didn't take my camera up to the top. I can't afford to destroy any more cameras.

They only got J2, J3 and J7 open today. It was challenging for most. I rode my 180 and floated over the wet soft stuff. Only got stuck once. The top was really sucky if you knew what to look for.

Told ya it would snow if I drove the Honda but unfortunately I wasn't there to enjoy it with you. Thanks to everyone at OneGoodCafe for the outstanding food, drink, companionship and some really bad jokes.

It's gonna be 5 times worse. Everyone should stay in Mammoth and wait for the top to open...
