If you love groomers you will love June. I suggest that you take a warm-up off of J6 before you hit J7.
And be gentle on Schatzi (we have this thing going..)
Be sure to stock-up on Fat Tire 12 packs. I think it's the town currency.
I know they're accepted at City Hall.

I just enjoyed a very fun Happy Hour with SKIPUNK, Photoho and Dropn N. I know that the Punk and P-ho will be skiing June tomorrow and looking for OGT.

The bar was up, my friend was riding with to much stuff to have the bar down. It was just a little unnerving to see the guy in the chair below us swinging 20 degrees in each direction in a circle while overlooking the entire landscape. I woulda felt much more comfortable boarding down the thin face!

I think it just reminded me of this recurring nightmare that I have where I am on this painfully slow two person lift that is taking forever (while downloading) then the lift breaks down 20 feet past the crest while the wind picks up. Haven't had the dream since though - J1 provided me with a free therapy session (and it only took 15 min)!

The download on J1 is one of the most scenic rides in the whole wide world.

Agreed. It was an amazing experience - you could see so much. And no on the deathwish subject, but I feel I am getting good at riding steep thin icy conditions :D

There's big rocks under those steep icy conditions. The Face needs at least 3 more feet to be ridable. 5 or 6 more feet for me to feel safe...

I used to work at june in snowplacement. I was also in charge of getting the mail up to the chalet and outgoing mail down from the chalet, as well as getting the garbage down from the chalet. I rode J1 about 10-20 times a day. I pretty much got paid to ride that chair! I can remember a few times riding up in a gnarley storm and watching the lift cable move its way off the shiv wheel and right before it would go off, the lift would stop. talk about almost sh*ting yourself. very exhilirating though. I love that chair. I personally hope they never replace that chair.
BEST DAY EVER! all skis ski
