The best job on the mountain is any job that starts and finishes during non-lift operating hours. That way you can ride all day, everyday; as long as you want to make turns up here!!!! (and not watch everybody else make 'em) ;)

The best job is the vacation specialists. Not only are they warm, they get to read the forums all day when they aren't busy, they get to make a difference for that first time caller and if they are lucky their jobs are year round. I will never forget my first call to a mountain to get my kids in ski lessons. I knew nothing about skiing, they walked me through everything and even told me about chains and the best place to park.

Wow, All great posts~ are the twins even old enuf to drink? lol. I'm sure they will find someone to fill them in, but they sure sound like fun people. Maybe get a chance to run into them at the mill or the tap.

best job tho, snow bum this year. bought my pass and was laid off work, and none to be found so looks like a lot of riding this year. Will definetly be looking for best happy hours for beers and food..

Did the new place open where gomez was yet?

Not quite. According to the Z (Bar) Ranch site under "Specials and Events", their grand opening will be this weekend!

How about parking lot attendant? I was offered a job as parking lot attendant.

Hopefully I can get some riding in during the slow periods.

Probably a lot like a lifty; standing outside, ect...

You don't have to talk to many people though. That could be boring or good depending on how you look at the aspect of customer service. I know some people love talking to people. I could go either way. Some people are jerks.

And, worst case scenario, you only ride on your days off. That's better then no riding.
