Aside from the craziness of Christmas and its surround weeks, lift operations is awesome. For example, if you are working any base chair 1, 2, 6, 11, 10, ect, the lines get to like 30-40 min during the busy days. Its kind of cool then, when you scan, cause all you have to do is talk to people. But, if you are watching people get on the lift, it can be super frustrating because of how many people fall, and how often you have to stop the lift.
I guess in the scheme of things, there could be a better job on the mountain, but I really wouldn't worry about being a lifty. You ride every day, you talk to friendly people, and for the most part, the job is really enjoyable. It's hard not to smile when you carry your snowboard/ski's out with you to work.
The only advice I can give you is pay attention in training, follow those rules, and don't try and bend them. If you fool around on the job, chances are you'll lose it. I.E. playing dodge with chairs or throwing snowballs.
Oh, don't do drugs in the huts. People get fired for that too, lol.
Edit: I just noticed your name. Do people call you twin-one and twin-two?
