Yeah except every now and then I have to think, based on NBC's coverage, that to be an athlete they have to almost die from something then make amazing recoveries to be Olympians. Doesnt anybody just have a normal life???

You've done a wonderful job on the map, but I'd like to chirp in on the north/south issue.

When you look at a trail map, the top of the map isn't north, south, east, or west. It is the sky. The top of the map represents up. The bottom of the map represents down. Also when you go to find your way around a ski resort, you generally ski up to a lift, find it on the trail map, look up the mountain, and figure out where you want to go.

With you're map, if you started out at Main Lodge, you would either have to turn your back to the mountain to make the map match the terrain, or turn the map upside down if you want to face the mountain to see where you want to go. Also just for the fun of comparing your map to a conventional trail map, it would be easier if you put south at the top.

If you are making this map for your personal satisfaction and being so kind as to share it with us, then you've done a great job, and I have no complaints. If you would like to sell me this map, perhaps...

Tip #1 for those of you who will be cooking your Thanksgiving turkey in the condo while you are out skiing/riding:

If using a cooking bag, ALWAYS cut vent holes in bag before putting the bird in the oven.

Otherwise, you will not only return to the condo to a burnt bird, but also a burnt condo! (Trust me, I've seen this happen.)

My Zeal lenses are not only photochromatic, but polarized too. Again, best goggles to date by FAR. And Zeal is an American company too (not sure where made though).

As most of you know by now, the GFS 00z has no "storm" during the prediction period. That ridge is cemented put, so no sierra cement predicted just yet. The GFS is not yet picking up on the Dweeber's retrogression speculation (which he paid Ed Berry to tell him about. )

Dweeber- any thoughts how the apparent "western" nature of this El Nino will lessen or increase its impact at MM (see the El Nino thread)?

In my case all the compartments were open, glove box, console, etc,...but nothing was taken. The stereo was not taken, you can't remove it and then use it. Lock your cars or don't. Which is best a broken window or
